Charlene S. Beatty, 74, of North Huntingdon, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2025. Born on November 28, 1950, in Irwin, she was the beloved daughter of the late Clarence and Charlotte (Berg) Schickel.

In addition to her parents, Charlene was preceded in death by her cherished daughter, Cathleen Beatty. She is survived by her loving son, Richard E. Beatty, and his fiancée, Holly Gilligan; her treasured grandchildren, Abigail Beatty and Adam Beatty; Cara Gilligan and Julianna Gilligan; her devoted brother, Edward C. Schickel; and her niece, Jennifer Schickel.

Charlene had deep and abiding faith, attending services regularly at the First United Church of Christ in Irwin. She found great joy in life’s simple pleasures—reading, crocheting, and cheering on her favorite Pittsburgh sports teams, especially the Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family.

Friends will be received Monday from 4 to 8 PM at Ott Funeral Home Inc., 805 Pennsylvania Ave., Irwin, PA 15642. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel.
Burial will be private.
