Walter G. Gregar, 63, of North Huntingdon, died Thursday, June 12, 2014, in Baldock Health Care Center. He was born Oct. 22, 1950, in Braddock, a son of Edna (Pickle) Gregar, of Creighton, and the late George Gregar. He was a graduate of Norwin High School, Class of 1968 and was a Vietnam War Army veteran. He attended the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics and loved airplanes. He was a retired auto technician for Kenny Ross Chevrolet, North Huntingdon a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Irwin, the Italian Miners Society, Hahntown and LOOM Lodge 236, Irwin. He is survived by his wife, Barbara A. (Boch) Gregar; his former wife, Pamela Gregar; children, Jennifer (Eric) Lyons, of West Newton, Sean (April) Gregar, serving in the Navy, and Heathe (Dina) Clark, of Ft. Mill, S.C.; grandchildren, Zachary, Tara, Ian and Aaron Lyons, Hailey and Makayla Gregar and Hannah and Emma Clark; a brother, Philip Gregar, of Trafford; a sister, Debra Gregar, of New Kensington; and nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the WILLIAM SNYDER FUNERAL HOME INC., 521 Main Sr., Irwin, 724-863-1200. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, followed by military honors. Private interment will be in Union Cemetery.
