Richard Allen Funk, 71, of Ardara, passed away Monday, April 26, 2021, at his home. He was born March 6, 1950, in Braddock, a son of the late Luther and Dorothy (Kapostas) Funk. Prior to his retirement, Rich was an expeditor for U.S. Steel and a veteran of the Army, having served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Ardara United Presbyterian Church and a social member of Larimer Fire Hall. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce (Schueler) Funk; and daughter, Tammi Funk. He is survived by his sons, Richard and his wife, Lisa, and Grant and his wife, Amy; daughter, Jill Shoff and her husband, Nathan; brothers, Troy, Robert, Albert and James; sisters, Marion Dillen and Judy Varga; and grandchildren, Kara, Tyler and Tylor. Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the JAMES W. SHIRLEY FUNERAL HOME, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon.
