I remember learning to play basketball in the church gym. But most of all, Carl was the DJ for our MYF dances and had the best record collection. He was a wonderful DJ! He will be missed.

It's been almsot a year since Carl died and I'm still shaken by it.   I was in Methodist Youth Fellowship with him, attended the dances and other activities.  We were friendly, not close and lost touch after graduation.     I was so glad to see him at the 50th reunion!             In 11th or 12th grade he grew a beard, which our school didn't allow.   No one bothered him about it though.    Carl had a dignity not often seen.   He was a special man.
