Karen M. Butalla, 65, of North Huntingdon, passed away Friday, November 4, 2016 at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. She was born November 7, 1950 in Greensburg, PA, a daughter of the late Tony and Mary Knor Bencloski. Prior to her retirement, Karen was a systems engineer for Jefferson Regional Memorial Hospital. She was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh earning her Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and a member of the Word of Life Church, Greensburg. Praise and worship was very important to Karen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Anthony Bencloski , She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, David P. Butalla; brother, Dan Bencloski; sister, Nancy Wasielewski, sister-in-law, Diane Bencloski, nieces, nephews, and great niece, Lauren Keller. A memorial service will be held Sunday at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA in charge of arrangements.
