I was saddened to hear of Eric's passing. We attended elementary, middle and high school together and we were good friends. My sympathy goes out to his family in Georgia. He was a unique and talented man who will be missed by all who knew him. Dave Triplett

Wow! How much of a suprise to hear this sad news. Eric has always seemed so healthy. Such a nice guy and always so friendly. He will be missed for sure.

Like Dave Triplett we went to school with Eric through all grades.  I am so sorry to hear of his passing.  I remember driving past his house many times; seeing Granny sitting in the living room.  He went to  my church, and through all life's hardships he always stayed positive.  He was such a kind soul.

It is sad news for sure that Erick is gone...he was soft spoken and smiled easily...just a really good guy. I tried to find out info on his passing, but had no luck...does anyone know how long ago or any circumstances?

Erick was y best friend since childhood and we have kept in touch regularly. He was my best man and I was his. I was shocked at the suddenness.

This fro his wife Mary to me:

Erick had a heart attack one day he wasn’t feeling well and I insisted he get checked I took him to urgent care they rushed him to hospital the hospital put in a stent after which he was feeling great and taking meds. One Saturday morning he had problem breathing I asked are you all right he said no and blacked out stopped breathing I did cpr until medics came . He was hooked up to a breathing machine for a week . He passed away September 1st. It was all much like a bad dream My family and church family have been a great support. And God is a very present help in the time of trouble. So grateful for that. Erick loved you both yes he didn’t hesitate to ask for you his best man at our wedding. He also remembered Suzanne every St Patrick’s day, and both of you evey birthday, anniversary and holiday. Someday we will all be together again. God has prepared a place for us all a place of great Love in His Presence❤️

I just read that Erick has passed.  I remember him from choir.  One of the chorus concerts he sang "Today" (from the movie Advance to the Rear as well as a hit for the New Christy Minstrels).  He had a great baritone voice and this song was perfect for him to sing.  One of my favorite songs.  RIP Erick.
