Wilma was a good friend and you always knew there would never be a dull moment when she was around. We met at Irwin Jr. High in the 9th grade when I was fresh out of 8 years at IC. I was terrified to go to public school until I met this girl named Wilma in home room! We became instant friends. It just seemed that mischief found us wherever we went!! We spent hours in the basement of my house in our senior year painting posters for the pep rallies. Wilma was a talented artist and would paint pictures of the opposing team's mascot generally with a sword through their heart. In some ways, I wish we had cameras like we do today to have captured those memories. In other ways - not so much!! We would sneak into the driveway in the trunk of whoever was driving. What were we thinking??? Even with all of my moves, we stayed in touch. Unfortunately, I hadn't seen her in a few years as life got in the way. So many memories as I sit here and smile thinking of them. Rest in peace dear friend.
I am so sorry to hear about Wilma. I was thinking of her the other day and just sent a card to her with a note in it. I guess I didn't realize how bad she was. My condolences to her family.
Wilma and I met in high school and she soon became one of my best friends. I have so many fun memories of hanging out with Wilma...dancing at the White Elephant, swimming at Blue Dell, going to the drive-in, and our crazy summer week at Canadotha Lake to name a few! Wilma will be missed by many. My since condolences to her family and friends. Rest in peace, Wilma. (I imagine Wilma's in heaven now showing the angels new dance moves! )
Unfortunately, the picture is a bit blurred. Our float was definitely not one of the best but we had a great time putting it together!!! Not sure who everyone is in the picture but Wilma is in the center.
My sympathy to Wilma's family and friends. She always had a smile on her face. I remember that about Wilma. Never a dull moment when she was around. RIP Wilma.
